Luiz Landeiro

Born in Itapemirim, Luiz Landeiro grew up in the neighboring city of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in the state of Espírito Santo, and has worked in other Brazilian cities, such as São Luís, in Maranhão, and Rio de Janeiro. With a degree in Civil Engineering, his career as an engineer working for a large international company led him to travel and live in other countries (in Malaysia, in Ipoh; in Canada, in Toronto), until he settled in Windermere, a town on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida, USA. Luiz Landeiro currently still works as an engineer, but now on projects for his own company. His academic career, which began with Civil Engineering, was extended to include a postgraduate degree in Logistics and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management. Good-humored and a great appreciator of “a good wine, in the company of those we love”, Luiz Landeiro is also a fervent football fan and, in particular, of his beloved Flamengo – to the point of choosing as the one of his life the one he took to Lima, the capital of Peru, to watch, at the Monumental Stadium, the final of the 2019 Libertadores Cup between Flamengo and River Plate, from Argentina. Flamengo, coached by the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, won, of course – 2-1! –, becoming South American champions again, after 38 years of waiting. When we asked him what the profile of the ideal wine is, the one to drink “in the company of those we love”, Luiz Landeiro did not hesitate: “It is the one we will produce at Casa Landeiro.”
